X Minus OneX Minus One aired on NBC from 1955 til 1958. Its first few shows were reworked from the earlier series, Dimension X, but it went on to feature original scripts for the great part of its run. The show was produced in partnership with the publishers of the magazine, Astounding Science Fiction and Fact and featured adaptations of stories from the magazine. The show featured the works of many on the premier science fiction authors of the mid-Twentieth Century, including Isaac Asimov (my own favorite sci-fi author of the era), Ray Bradbury, and Frederik Pohl. (For a preview of today's so-called "smart speakers" that manages to be both frightening and tongue-in-cheek at the same time, I recommend "A Logic Named Joe.) For more information, see Wikipedia.
