Whatever Became OfIn Whatever Became Of, Richard Lamparski tracks down and interviews actors figures from the golden age of radio. The roster of guests was as diverse, as Grace Matthews, who played Margo Lane in The Shadow; Carlton E. Morse, famed radio writer, many of whose works are featured in this collection; Jim Jordan, of Fibber McGee and Molly. The guest list, though, is not exclusively from radio; it includes othrs such as Darla Hood from Our Gang comedies and Moe Howard of The Three Stooges (if you are a Stooges fan, like me, the interview with Moe is a must-listen). The show aired in the 1960s and 1970s; I could not find more precise dates. In addition to the radio show, Lamparski authored a successful series of books following the "whatever became of" formula. The radio show aired on New York's WBAI-FM. For more information, see WFMU's Beware of the Blog. For a fascinating interview with Lamparski himself, see gr8erdays.com.
