Unit 99

Unit 99 was a slice-of-life police procedural. Sacramento police Sgt. Dan Meredith carried a tape recorder in his car, recording police calls, witness interviews, and the like. These recordings were then organized into a radio show featuring commentary by Sgt. Meredith.

The show was broadcast locally by Sacramento station KFBK in 1957 and 1958. Learn more at the Golden Age of Radio.
