Under Arrest

I enjoyed the episodes I listened to and found the acting generally pretty good and some of the plots, particularly "Janet Sherwood," creative. Nevertheless, the characters, particularly the bad guys, are two-dimensional. The crooks tend conform to every Hollywood bad-guy stereotype of the day.

Furthermore, Capt. Scott is prone to tendentious lectures on the police's responsibility to play by the rules. Please note, I agree with his message, which is as important today as it was then; I just find the lectures themselves to be rather overdone.

The show aired in 1948 and 1949.
