The Story Lady

The Story Lady was a series of shorts, generally a little over a minute in length, produced by the Mel Blanc Studios for syndication in 1968. Titles allude to classic fairy tales, legends, and famous persons. Each tale starts like a nice little bedtime story told in a nurturing, cheerful woman's voice and then goes horribly wrong in a strange and twisted way.

Joan Gerber voiced the Story Lady. Gerber had a long and varied career as a voice actress in the latter half of the 20th Century, ranging from movies to television to radio. She appeared in works ranging from The Pink Panther Show to the Fantastic Four to the movie Charlotte's Web.
