Stand by for Crime

Stand by for Crime followed the adventures of radio news reporter Chuck Morgan for Los Angeles radio station KOP as he follows the trail of crime and murder. Morgan frequently receives tips from his friend, police Lt. Bill Miggs. His secretary, Carol Curtis, is a regular in the stories.

Morgan was portrayed by the baritone-voiced Glenn Langen and Curtis by Langen's real-life wife, Adele Jurgens.

The show embraced the bare-bones "just the facts" style of Dragnet that was in vogue in the 1950s and was peopled with a myriad of colorful characters. As far as I can determine, the show aired for one season in 1953.
