Science Magazine of the Air

Science Magazine of the Air mixes science lessons with narratives and rather florid dramatizations illustrating them. For instance, the episode "Saga of a Storm" discusses meteorological advances--such as the invention of the thermometer and of the weather balloon--against the narrative of the Weather Bureau's tracking the formation and journey of a storm across the Pacific to a violent landfall on the coast of California.

The program was produced by the Armed Forces Radio Service. The only reference I could find on the internet theorized that the show was produced to entertain and educate soldiers during World War II.

Even though the show is decades old, the episodes I listened to have certainly stood the test of time as regards the history of scientific discoveries.
