Midnight CabWalker Devereaux moves to Toronto to become an author and, to support himself, winds up working the late shift driving the Midnight Cab. Walker has an uncanny ability to fall into mysteries, such as a body left in the cab's trunk and a man with a face like a horse. During idle hours, he passes time chatting with his dispatcher, wheelchair-bound Krista Papadopoulos, who finds herself being drawn into the mysteries and into Walker's life. If you listen to this series, you will also find yourself hailing the midnight cab until it reaches the end of its journey. Walker is voiced by David Ferry and Krista by Jacqueline Samuda. The series was written by James W. Nichol, a well-known Canadian playwright and author, who wrote a book of the same title after the radio series had completed its run. This Canadian Broadcasting Company production aired in three series totaling 35 half-hour episodes from 1992 to 1996. To learn more, see Thrilling Detective.
