Let's PretendLet's Pretend was a long-running CBS children's show. The show went through several titles and formats in the early 1930s; then, in 1934, Nila Mack was selected as producer and designed a show that ran for two more decades, garnering numerous honors along the way, including the Peabody Award. The show dramatized children's stories and fairy tales. Mack had the revolutionary idea that children should have a hand in a show for children, so a number of child actors joined the adults in the cast. The cast of children included persons like Sybil Trent, who finished her career as a casting director for a Madison Avenue advertising agency; Arthur Anderson, who, though he never became a major star, had a long and successful career as a working actor; and Miriam Wolfe, who, after she married and moved to Canada, became a fixture in Canadian television and radio.
