Hallmark Playhouse


Hallmark Playhouse was an anthology drama show which aired on CBS from 1948 to 1953. After 1953, it was known as The Hallmark Hall of Fame until its demise in 1955. The show was known for the calibre of its writing, production, and performances.

As the Playhouse, it was hosted by James Hilton; as the Hall of Fame, by Lionel Barrymore. Many of the biggest stars of the day appeared in the various episodes.
