Dr. Tim, Detective

In Dr. Tim, Detective, Dr. Tim narrates a mystery that he solves, usually accompanied by two teens--Jill, his landlady's daughter, and Sandy, from "up the street a way." The cases seldom involve crimes, but there is always a medical twist.

The 15-minute episodes usually include a didactic element, as Dr. Tim explains a scientific or medical concept to his young helpers. Also, the presence of Jill and Sandy lead me to believe that this show was targeted towards children.

I could find little about this show but a bare-bones description on the internet, but I must say I find it rather entertaining. It's notable that OTR could tell a coherent story in 15 minutes and modern television cannot seem to do so in an entire season, but that's another issue . . . .
