The Adventures of Dick Cole

The Adventures of Dick Cole is a half-hour show aimed at a juvenile audience; it follows the adventures of the title character, a student at the fictional Farr Military Academy (the first line of whose alma mater is "Always be near to Farr"). With the help of his friends Simba and Ted, Dick apprehends criminals, rescues persons in peril, gets out of scrapes, and is even the target of trickery by in an upperclassman's plot to steal his girl.

The show was syndicated by the World Broadcasting System in the 1940s. Dick was voiced by the prolific and versatile actor, Leon Janney. Lew White provided the music.
