Crime ClassicsCrime Classics examined notorious criminal cases ranging from Ancient Greece to the late 1800s. Each half-hour episode examined one crime. Crafted as a documentary, it attempted to present the facts of each as known, taking little dramatic license with the historical record. The show was conceived by noted radio figure, Elliott Lewis, and narrated by "Thomas Hyland," played by Lou Merrill. The rotating cast included some of the great radio and film actors of the day. The show aired on CBS in 1953 and 1954. Learn more from Wikipedia. Series description provided by Frank Bell. |
