Cloak and DaggerCloak and Dagger was based on a book of the same name by Corey Ford and Alistair McBain. It dramatized adventures based on the files of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS)--the predecessor of the CIA--during World War II. The stories were researched by British crime reporter Percy Hoskins, who was later associated with Whitehall-1212, which was drawn from the files of Scotland Yard. The show, which aired in 1950, portrayed superb production values and acting and an outstanding score. Twenty-five episodes were produced, 24 of which aired and 22 of which survive. Corey Ford willed his papers to Dartmouth University. I could find little on his co-author McBain. Copies of their book, long out of print, carry a high price.
