Secrets of Scotland Yard and The Black MuseumSecrets of Scotland Yard and Tales of the Black Museum dramatized actual cases from the annals of Scotland Yard. The shows had so many features in common that it is difficult to speak of them separately. Secrets of Scotland Yard was produced from 1949 to 1951 and was originally hosted by Clive Brook and later by the fictional "Superintendent X of Scotland Yard." The Black Museum was hosted by Orson Welles and produced in 1951. It aired in the U. S. on the Mutual Broadcasting System. Both shows were produced by the Towers of London, a company belonging to Harry and Margaret Towers which specialized in producing transcribed shows for international distribution.
