The Naked VicarThe Naked Vicar was a half-hour comedy sketch show starring Ross Higgins, Noeline Brown, and Kev Golsby; it aired on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in the mid-1970s. It was fast-paced, frenetic, and topical; if you don't like the current joke, you'll probably like the next one. The title of the show derives from a perhaps apocryphal news item about a cleric who was found naked and dead of a heart attack in a European brothel and of attempts to spin the story to protect the cleric's reputation. The show was such a success that it gave rise to a television show of the same name. Learn more at Australian Screen. Series description provided by Frank Bell. |
