Adventures of the Abbotts

Adventures of the Abbottsis what mystery buffs like me refer to as a "cozy"--a story you can "cozy up" to confident that it will be long on humor and short on terror. Set in San Francisco, it follows the adventures of Pat and Jean Abbott. Introduction and narration is in the voice of Jean Abbott.

The show aired in the 1954-55 season on NBC. It was a successor to a 1945-47 Mutual series, Abbott Mysteries, which unfortunately appears to have been lost. Both shows were based on characters created by Frances Crane in a long-running series of mystery novels. Like the novels, each radio episode included a color in its title.

Other notable radio cozies in this collection include Mr. and Mrs. North and The Adventures of Phyl Coe.
