Address Unknown

Address Unknown was an Australian series which ran from 1954 till 1960. Each half-hour episode dramatized an actual case from the files of the London missing persons bureau. Lionel Stevens portrayed the narrator, Henry Simon.

I've listened to several of these. I can't say it's my favorite, but that says more about my tastes than it does about the show. It is quite well scripted and performed.
