We'd love to have you enjoy our favorite hobby with us, as well as help us with our mission of preserving old time radio for everyone to enjoy. Here are just some of the many comments of our visitors and club members that were sent in over the last four years. Thanks for reading.

Hear what some of our members have to say about our old time radio club

As always thanks for all the great shows! Can't tell you enough how much I appreciate your site. It has brought endless hours of enjoyment for me and my family.

All my best,

Mark P.

I joined the Old Time Radio Club on February 7, 2012. This is a fantastic idea and a great website.

I listened to all kinds of radio growing up. I heard the last episodes of Yours Truly Johnny Dollar and Suspense when they were broadcast on the CBS Radio Network in 1962. I thought my interest in the golden age of radio had left at that point.

Thanks to the Internet and sites like www.mysteryshows.com, my interest not only returned but became stronger than I could have ever imagined. I can't get enough of "the theater of the mind". Being part of this club gives me and so many others the opportunity to hear more shows from the 30s, 40s and 50s.

Through the old time radio club, I discovered many shows I never heard of. I have also listened to many series I first became aware of when they aired on regular over the air radio.

Thank you for the club and the website. I hope more people will get the opportunity through this club to listen and enjoy old time radio as much as I do.

Have I ever told you that my membership is clearly the best money I've ever spent? No exaggeration. And a red face for being so tardy in telling you.

But I've just endorsed you to a potential member, and I will FINALLY get the word to other people, too.

Hi Brad, I want to give you a warm heartfelt thank you for this wonderful gift....treasure of entertainment. I am in my early 40's and have health issues that keep me in with not as many options for entertainment as others have.

I simply love the way the shows take me on all these wonderful adventures in my minds eye when I listen to them every night at bedtime like I did cbs mystery theater as a kid or when I'm simply relaxing on a lazy afternoon. I also want to thank everyone that donates these fantastic stories. God Bless You and everyone involved in this club. Again thank you Brad. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Webmaster Brad:

The word "thanks" just doesn't express how wonderful a service Mystery Shows provide. there are, indeed, thousands upon thousands of shows of all different genres and types. The first show to which I listened was the one about the "ice king--Richard Tudor. Next I heard an adventure of the Sea Hound. I'd never heard of that old time radio show before.

After that I delved into a whole basketful of the Lone Ranger. That was DELICIOUS___. Pardon me while I don my parka for a trip to check up on the whereabouts of Sergeant Preston's horse Rex and his wonder dog Yukon King--fastest and strongest lead dog of the Northwest.

Thanks again for opening up a retroworld of adventure, drama, mystery and fantasy among other treasures.

Hi my name is August. I'm 42 yrs old and love your site. I am telling people about your site in hopes to help it grow. Thank you so very much. I grew up listening to mystery theater at bedtime. Loved it..thanks to you I am able to now. I don't get out much so Bless you for this wonderful gift of escape. Your friend.. August

You have a serious treasure trove of OTR that I'm missing from my own growing collection.

I'm currently specifically interesting in the Halloween collection, in addition to The Shadow, The Whistler, and The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet. These are primarily for my wife (although I enjoy them as well), my own focus is on World War II broadcasts for the most part.

If there's anything in particular you're looking for, I'd be happy to provide a list of the tracks I have. While I have a fair bit of work to do on a number of them.

Thank you! I love these shows and I am so glad I found your outstanding site. I load up a nights worth on my ipod and enjoy for an hour or two before falling asleep. I live on a busy urban street, and getting a good night sleep is difficult due to the loud traffic and street noise. Listening to old time radio sooths my nerves and covers up annoying city noise.

I accidentally stumbled upon your website and I am so glad that I did. I am a real mystery and old radio show freak , so I expect to spend endless hours listening to all the wonderful shows that you offer.

Even though I am blind and the membership is free for the blind, I fully expect to make a donation as soon as I am able so you can keep adding to the library for myself and others to enjoy .

Thanks again and keep up the good work , I love your website brad.

Thank you for providing such a cool site!! My co-worker and I work in an office and were so excited to discover the on-line old time radio shows, but subscribed in haste (without shopping around) to another OTR website. It was 45 dollars, but we were so excited to have the programs to listen to that we signed up.

Now, about 3 months into it, we grew frustrated w/the lack of choices and lack of quantity of our favorite programs (Lux, The Whistler & CBS Mystery Theatre) that we googled other sites...

How happy we were to find your site! We have both joined and love it!

Thank you for having such a variety and the quantity of shows so that we can spend an entire 9 hrs. just listening to the shows we love!

I can't believe how we got 'hood winked' and paid so much more for so much less.

We enjoyed today at work so much. We could not believe that the total libraries of our favorite programs were ours to enjoy at our whim!

By the way, I don't know how many of your listeners are in our age bracket... We are each under 45 and are loving these old shows.

We do a pretty boring job, but it is nice & cozy w/your programs to listen to all day long! We were so excited also by the shows you have that are not widely available. Anyway, just thanks alot.

Thank you so much ... I am enjoying just looking around the many offerings you have on your site ... At my age, I'll most likely not get to hear them ALL but I expect to give it a good try over the next months and beyond ... What a super-duper site ... God bless you all for making this available to folk who appreciate OTR ... If it's of any consequence to you ... you've got some extra prayers being said for you now!!!

Dear Mr. Webmaster

First of all, I want to thank you for this wonderful website. I really enjoy listening to the old-time radio programs. They bring back so many memories. I am truly impressed with the large selection of programs that you have made available to everyones. I like your style. Keep up the good work. We all appreciate your efforts.

Signed, Robbi B

I love your website. I grew up listening to these stories. Thank you so much for your time.

I am interested in both becoming a member of your group and passing on my compliments to you for such a very interesting and complete site. I was looking for some "General Mills Radio Adventure Theatre" shows when I found your site.

I am old enough to remember listening to many of these OTR shows, a minor collector of OTR shows. For that reason I feel that I have enough knowledge to pass comment on your site. It is very good. The only problem is that when I see all the shows that you have and which I would love to listen to I look at the clock and wish I had many more years so that I might listen to them all.

Please except my compliments on your work here both from the standpoint of use by a blind person and on it's content. I do hope you receive enough to keep this great web site going. If I can help to help preserve your good work here please let me know.

Hi there,

I would like to have the address so I can send a donation for you. I really love this site.

Thank you so much , I love these old radio shows.

Clearly a labor of love on your part. Thanks for all your efforts!

Cool thanks.

i've come to really appreciate the enthusiasm that these shows induce. There seems to be a rather vibrant subculture of people who really dig these shows.

There are so many interesting aspects of listening to them. Pure entertainment. A wonderful view into the past. Great literature or films transcribed (or preceeding) into radio shows (I LOVE the African Queen with Bogey and greer Garson) They pose a rather interesting reflection of the changes our culture (or hasn't) has made over the years.

Overall, though, the stories and performances are SO great. With amazing speakers like EG Marshall.

Well, I guess I am preaching to the choir here.

I bookmarked your site and will be returning regularly.

Thanks so much for making these available.

take it easy.

I think the site is great for people who are fans of old radio young or old. Also for those who are just discovering old time radio. One of things that is great about is that it is user friendly. I would love to make a donation to help keep the site going.

I have recently had my love of OTR rekindled and have been looking for ways to hear shows online ever since. Thank you so much for making all these wonderful old programs available. Take care and hope to hear from you soon

Have to let you know that my husband and I absolutely love the website.

Thank you for having the Mystery Theater website. It's one of my favorites. Old time radio was something I loved as a kid, and it helps me fall asleep at night.

Hi! So glad to have found this site. These shows were a favorite part of my childhood and, so thrilled to have finally found them again!

I think it's really sweet the way your website is set up to be easy for visually impaired people to navigate and that you give them free memberships. That's first class.

Love the shows, thanks for providing them.

Thank you for sharing your collection! $10.00 is more than fair for the access you grant. I am finding shows that I have not yet found at other locations.

Again, thank you so much for sharing your collection!

Roseanne M.

When I found your website it took me back to my youth when I used to listen to the Mystery Radio Theater while laying in my bed at night. I believe that it was broadcasted on AM out of Pittsburgh, Pa. Aah! The fond memories. I really love these old but great programs.

Thank You,

Russ B.

It's my pleasure. I have derived so much happiness from your site that it is the least I can do.

Thanks for doing all you do to keep the old time radio shows alive. I've introduced my grandson and niece to your site and they love it!

I really love this site so much - thank you!!!!

Hi Brad the webmaster

my name is martin. I found your site two days ago its an excellent site. it made my week!!!

Thank you for the shows I have been enjoying. Love the club...

Greetings: I was so happy today to find your site! Imagine finding all those old familiar shows. I've been paying a 7.50 monthly fee to use another site-thinking I had the best situation I could get but now know I was wrong. Another site I found was free but doesn't let me choose what I want to hear. It won't let me download the shows, either.

Really enjoy your Club. Have listened to many of the shows. Again I love your club and Thank You.

I love the old shows. Thanks for providing them.

I just wanted to say thank you for this site. I was born in 1955 and remember the tv shows but never actually heard the radio shows from which they spawned. So this site is a great treat for me.

Thanks again for the hours and hours of entertainment I am looking forward to listening to thanks to your site.

The best 10 dollars I ever spent. Thanks again

Paul M

Hey!! Thank you again for letting me into the club. :-) It really is great fun and, if you could check how often I visit, you will see I am there nearly every day. I've seen other sites, but this is definitely the best one I've seen yet.

Love the site, awesome selection. I even cancelled my satellite radio, their "old radio classics" was full of new ads and junk.

I love old time radio programs because I started life before TV and remember a lot of these shows. So I do things the old way - like make a donation by money order and snail mail. Who would I make it payable to and where would I send it? I must have missed that in my delight at this site. Please let me know so I too can make a donation to this wonderful form of entertainment. Thank you.

I guess all i want to say is that i've found a new home. I'm just so relieved it was possible to "get them all together in one place" and i cant wait to send you that Donation! I really want to become a member and join your community.

Cant wait!

I'm so glad to see everyone is having such a great time here. Join us today. We'd love to have you here too. Everyone is welcome in our friendly club.

Thanks for reading,
