When I got home from picking up my daughter from school today, we walked into the house, only to see my Jack Russell standing there with a torn up christmas present in her mouth. I just looked at her and she ran right into her crate. I think she kind of knew she wasn't supposed to eat the christmas presents but did it anyway.

It turns out it was a box of good chocolates we had planned to give to one of our family members. She ate half the box. Shocked Then I found another box ripped open that only had gift cards in it. Why would the dog want gift cards? Maybe they were just close to the candy and she couldn't smell the difference. Thank God she didn't chew those up Laughing

Oh well, just watch you christmas presents if you have dogs Shocked

P.S. OK, Victor, here is the place where you tell me I should have bought cats Laughing

Personally, I would never own a dog . . disgusting, dirty creatures that they are.

My wife has a Bassett Hound that is blind. A number of years ago, she ate part of our artificial Christmas tree . . . what an idiot

My serval used to try to eat the dog (the dog could still see at this point in her life), had her truly terrorized . . a joy to behold, however, my wife failed to see the humor and, to this day, thinks that my semi-wild cats are not good pets.
