Okay, I have listened to 3 consecutive episodes of Halls of Ivy this morning - and I did so in the correct order of broadcast (I took the time yesterday to rename the files and preserve them that way.)
The show, while it goes at a leisurely pace, is not at all boring. It's a little like a soap opera but then again, it's like a very intelligent soap opera.
This is one show that has comedic overtones but I hesitate to call it a comedy, just as I hesitate to call it a soap opera - but there are elements of both there.
I'm going to try and listen to the entire series within the next 3 months.
I think I like the show - actually, I like the show a lot.
Thanks to Boston Blackie for the prodding. _________________ http://otrbuffet.blogspot.com

| It is a layed back show, but, as I have said before, it has a message that many shows lack. Also, as you get to know the characters, you understand it more. It is a show that is easy to first write it off, but, give it a chance and it will stand on its own. |

quite a beautiful series! The Colemans have amazing voices which adds to the charm.
The gentle humour is very uplifting and the romantic content is never sickly, always, well, just nice to experience!!
The music is perfect, the situations excellent and the scripts are second to none - well - what would one expect from the pen of Don Quinn?
I'd love to see the TV version! There are a few tantilising clips on you tube, but I'd LOVE to see the full series! |
