Has anyone else been ripped off by TLG*GREATFN ?

Apparently they have been stealing $9.99 from my credit card for over a year, and I didn't notice until today. I googled them and sure enough there all over the web for being a scam.

Look on your credit card statement for TLG*GREATFN as one of the charges.

I guess what happens is that if you buy something online like at buy.com or cheaptickets.com or a ton of other places, you may accidently check a box for some kind of discount. I never take the free trial memberships so I don't know how they got me. Maybe I checked it by mistake or something.

I don't know why companys like buy.com would have anything to do with a place like this.

I called my credit card company today to dispute the charges. We'll see what happens. First I called the scam company. I had to tell them five times to cancel the membership. The guy kept saying that he would leave it open until I tried it. I finally had to yell at the guy so he could understand me. I said, no cancel right this second, I don't want it.

He finally said he would. Somehow I doubt he will. I told the bank that too.

It's some kind of discount service to get discounts on plane tickets and resturants.

Check your statement and make sure they didn't get you too. Shocked
