Forgetting about the stars of a particular OTR, who is your favorite recurring character?
1. Leroy (The Great Gildersleeve) He acts like a real kid.
2. Digbey O'Dell (The Life of Riley) He's predictable - so predictable in fact, most times you can say his lines before he can - but he's still funny.
3. Frankie Remley (Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show) He's dumb and smart all at the same time. Also shows what a great talent Elliot Lewis was in the radio days.
4. "Old Timer" (Fibber McGee and Molly) - He's always funny!
5. "Daddy" (Baby Snooks) - Always befuddled by Snooks. Hilarious.
6. The lady that only says, "YES" (Milton Berle Show) - With the just the right inflection of your voice, you can be hilarious by just using one word. This character is proof of that.
There are more (including almost every periphreal character on Fibber McGee and Molly) but I'd love to see your list! |

| I enjoy Archie in the Nero Wolf series. Always looking for the girls and making fun of Wolf. |

| I also enjoy Ethelbert (sp/) on Casey Crime Photographer. He is funny and adds to the show. |

That's the same guy who played "Archie" on Duffy's Tavern, I believe - unless I have my characters confused. |

| I believe it was John Gibson who played Ethelbert and Ed Gardner on Duffy's Tavern. |
