Academy Award Theatre is a series that was only on the air for one season in 1946. It could have very easily had a much longer run because the shows were well done. Every bit as good as Lux Radio Theatre and Screen Director's Playhouse. It you like those two series your bound to enjoy these if you haven't heard them before. I have recently been revisiting the episodes of that series. I forgot how good they were. I would like to recommend checking them out. One of the episodes I recommend ,although I think they are all good, Is "The Maltese Falcon" starring Humphrey Bogart, Peter Lorre,Sydney Greenstreet and Mary Astor. All of these are stars from the original movie cast. Brad has this series in the members area.

Yes, that is an excellent episode. I remember having a cassette copy of it many years ago. I'll have to check out some of the other episodes.
