George has sent us a BBC show in 5 parts, called Outbreak of Fear. I just got done listening to it. I thought is was very, very good.

When I saw the title to your post Brad, I thought it was gonna be about swine flu.....maybe a better title for that would be "Much Ado About Nothing". Laughing

The regular flu kills way more each year but the news media loves to latch on to a story and play it up for all it's worth.

Sometimes I think we would be better off without some of the fear based news stories of today.

I agree there is too much negative news usually Brad. The idea of the flu killing off people isn't unique though. Stephen King even used the idea in his novel "The Stand" which was later made into a miniseries for tv. Course I imagine that there are no real 'new' ideas really. Just new ways of presenting them for the public.
