Some of our members have mentioned that the sound quality of some of the shows is not too good. I think most of the shows sound pretty good considering how very old they are. It's no fun to find a title that sounds really good and when you play it you can't hear the words. I think we've all had that happen to us from time to time.
If you come across a series of shows that sound really bad, let me know and I'll see if I can find a better set.
Thanks,

| I haven't noticed too much trouble with any so far. Of course sometimes it's not the fault of the recording either though. I remember my dad had some OTR on audio tapes and they had an announcement before the shows themselves that there may be 'surface noise or volume drop due to transmission problems common to old radio' and I think that's sometimes part of any clarity problems. They didn't have high fidelity when the shows were first broadcast. Probably we hear exactly what the original listeners heard back then when we hear any distortions. I think it's part of the unique 'flavour' of OTR myself. You almost want to be able to reach out and adjust the dial to see if you can bring the station in clearer. lol. |
