Uncertain from which host this horror episode came from, but "The Demon Tree" is a great story I listened to back in the 1990's on an AM radio station in Minneapolis, MN Sad
Can anyone help me locate this episode? Very Happy
It was a creepy tale about a hotel resort with a tree planted on the hotel property Twisted Evil
Guests staying at the resort relate a story concerning this very tree is reported to move on it's own from it's planted spot Embarassed
It's believed that this same tree is responsible for past guests' mysterious disappearances from the hotel Shocked

Just found "The Demon Tree" at this website;

www.archive.org/details/OTRR_Dark_Fantasy_Singles

It's listed under the Dark Fantasy-Single Episodes

If anyone's interested and you've never heard this Old Time Radio Researchers Group horror story

Yes, that sounds like a Dark Fantasy plot.

They had some fairly weird stories I seem to remember.

I took a listen to the Mercury Theatre production of "Dracula". It's the first time I've listened to any episode of that program other than "War of the Worlds". I must say I enjoyed Orson Welles' performance as the count, although my mind's eye kept creating this rather humorous image of an older, portlier Welles (remember those Paul Masson wine spots he did in the '70s?) with fangs and a Bela Lugosi-style cape.
