I enjoy all the OTR sci-fi shows and my collection includes shows from 2000 Plus, 2000X, Bradbury 13, Dimension X, Exploring Tomorrow, Tales of Tomorrow, and (of course) X Minus One. I particularly enjoy dramatization of early sci-fi greats such as Asimov, Bradbury and so on. I knew them as print authors long before I discovered OTR

Having listened to all these several times, I've turned my attentions to BBC productions for a while. Just finished the 3 Earthsearch series by James Follett which is an excellent production and story. The first series was first broadcast in 1981 (so is this OTR now or still classed as NTR?).

It's not all roses, For some reason I was never able to get into Journey into Space by Charles Chilton. This has to be OTR, being first broadcast in 1953!! Something about the show never rang true with me and I found the story boring, not really interested in following it and gave up after the first couple of episodes. It's unusual for me to give up like that but i honestly just lost interest in the whole thing.

My interest in OTR started with one of my favorite sci-fi movies called The Day The Earth Stood Still. One day while surfing the internet I discovered an MP3 file which was a radio play of the exact same movie, including the same actors!! I was totally blown away.

I had no idea what Lux Radio Theater was and started searching. Of course it did not take long before I found out and the whole world of OTR opened before my eyes.

Lux did not do many sci-fi shows but these shows hold a special place for me because its how I started in OTR.

I'm not a huge fan of Sci-Fi on radio but I do enjoy Rod Serling's Zero Hour. There seems to be a bit on irony in most every episode.

I'd go with X-1 too. "The Map Makers" is my favorite episode of the series.
