Is anyone else here putting together logs for different radio programs? I'm putting a log together (complete with summary of each episode) of Dragnet. I think it would be interesting if a bunch of us were to each pick a show and do an episode by episode log of it.

No worries there talosiv. Some programs will take a while to type up I'm sure. I'm still working on Dragnet. Right now I'm up to April of 1953, so I still have a bit to get through. And some no doubt will take even longer. I can't remember how many episodes there are of "Johnny Dollar" for example, but I know there are a lot of them. Just please post the Title of the show you are working on so we don't both end up typing up the same show. Smile

I've just started working my way through Broadway is my Beat and wouldn't mind writing up a brief resume of each episode.

Those just seem to be episode titles / date of original broadcast.
Very useful, but I was thinking more along the lines of Crich70's suggestion that we write a brief summary of each episode.

For some series you can see immediately from the title if you've already heard the episode, but for things like Dragnet or Broadway is my Beat it's not so obvious.

Although for the most part, not every episode is contained in there. However, I have found it most useful.

No problem; just be aware that not every episode of every show is in there and you may have to find "fills" from other resources.

hehe I'm not a librarian and thanks. I just like to research things (basebal, otr, WWII) and know how do so.

The internet provides us the world virtually at our fingertips. In 5 more years, so many more resources will be available to search on the net... it will only get better in that regard (unless we have to pay for it!)

In addition to baseball, I also like books, movies and audio clips on WWII. This site has lots of clips on WWII. Enjoy the Churchill and other political characters of the time doing their speeches. Most enjoyable are the news people reporting live from actual battles.
