I've been digging around some old newspaper online and found some interesting things about The Quiz Kids radio show, which is one of my favorites:

Now, back to Pat.

I was listening to an episode of The Quiz Kids last night. Every now and then, the show will have a guest, who will show up in the middle of the show and ask the kids questions.

Well in the episode in which Lil Abner cartoonist, Al Capp is the guest (49-04-03 Al Capp) he calls on Pat and Pat asks a couple of questions.

Capp referred to Pat as "she" and "her" when speaking about the question to Host, Joe "Shot Down an Intruder in My Own House" Kelly.

I thought it was clearly understood by HIS voice on the show (he's a regular) and by the photographs above that Pat is clearly a male child and not a female - or --- am I wrong? (If I am - I should be shot.) [/img]

Interesting post. I have nothing to offer about Pat as this is all new to me. But, I thought your post needed a response, so I did. You really researched for your post. Thanks.

Thanks, I had a lot of fun doing it.

So much fun in fact, I am going to start a blog because I have lots of findings to share.
