Here is a method for creating playlists (*.m3u files) to listen without actually downloading the shows, saving hard drive space.
Use the Firefox browser, install the "Multi Links" extension, this will allow You to select and save to the windows clipboard the complete url's pointing to the exact location, of the selected shows. Now paste this into a text editor such as windows "Notepad", save this as an *m3u file (playlists are basically text files), You will have to enter the .m3u file extension manually.
Now open the newly created playlist in most any media player that will play *.m3u playlists, such as XMPlay, Aimp Player, Winamp, or even Windows Media Player, and listen away without downloading.
Make sure You open the folder containing the desired shows url's. The Firefox "Multi Links" extension is a bit quirky, and takes some time to master. Make sure that the "Multi Links" options are set to copy only the url's to the windows clipboard, by default the options are set to open each and every selected url in a new tab. When You have selected all the links You want to copy, You will have to right click to access the "copy url's only" to the "windows clipboard" (before pasting).
I hope I have described this method of listening without downloading adequately (actually each show will be temporarily saved to the windows internet cache one by one as You progress through the playlist, and will automatically be deleted as the internet cache fills up). |
