A club member had a question about the show called "The Onyx Eye".

We have a copy in the Inner Sanctum folder and in the CBSRMT folder.

I just listened to the beginning of the Inner Sanctum version. It does have the creaking door sound but if you listen to the first part, it says "Welcome to the Inner Sanctum, I'm Hyman Brown".

I believe Hyman Brown produced the Inner Sanctum and CBSRMT series of shows.

I also have a CBSRMT version of the show with E.G. Marshall as the host. Probably the same show. I didn't have time to listen to them today.

I believe Inner Sanctum in much older. Maybe Hyman Brown reused that show?

Can someone clear up this mystery?

Yes I think I can. In the late 1990s Himan Brown brought the CBSRMT back to radio for a brief period. Only he replaced each episode with him as host Instead of E.G. Marshall. So the episodes are the original one's from 1974-1982 except for his narration. I remember listening to those "newer" episodes in the late 1990s. Inner Sanctum only ran from 1941-1952 I downloaded the episode of "The Onyx Eye" you have in the Inner Sanctum folder and it is in fact CBSRMT even though Himan Brown says welcome to the Inner Sanctum. It was just a secondary name or statement. In fact during this 1990s revival of the old episodes it was known as simply Radio Mystery Theatre because unlike the original run It wasn't carried by just C.B.S. affiliates. I also remember hearing this exact episode during the 1990s rerun. So this one really belongs in the CBRMT folder
