I found a great freeware file converter here. http://www.nch.com.au/rip/index.html When you turn on the program it scans your CD/DVD drives for media and usually fills in the artist and album for you plus names of the tracks (you can rename tracks if it doesn't) and then you just choose what format to convert to and click on "rip cd" and it rips the contents to your music folder in Documents (as default). It makes it very easy to convert music to later be sent to your Ipod or Mp3 player. They also have a Pro version of the software but even the freeware version works great.
