Hey everyone,
My name is Nick and I'm a new member here on this site. I've been listening to CBS RMT for about two and a half years now (I'm 21 years old and was unfortunately not around for any of the original broadcasts), but am entirely hooked. It's my favorite mystery show concerning format, host, length, quality of stories and everything. I've since grown into listening to and loving a few others - Mysterious Traveler, Murder By Experts, Box 13 (probably the only show with a reoccuring character that I dig on), Chet Chetters Tales from the Morgue, Darkness, and more recently Future Tense.
So essentially I just wanted to outline what I'm listening to on a grand scheme, hear what you're listening to, and meet the lot of ya! Just like old class introductions. Sorry to seem overly friendly but I feel really lucky to come across a group of people listening to and discussing these - Brad is amazing for putting all of this together! |

Welcome, RadioForMurder. It's great to see young people listening to some of these wonderful shows and enjoying them. The current tv shows do not compare to the great shows we can discover in OTR.
I also have enjoyed listening to the CBSRMT. Also, I like Suspense and the Twilight Zone. I do like the comedy and music shows as well.
I totally agree with you about Brad being amazing. Thank you, Brad, for all your work to bring us such a great number of shows to enjoy.

Hi Nick and welcome! You'll find lots to listen to here. I also enjoy the CBSRMT and I was around for them originally, but it's been so long that they're just like new to me.
It's great to see someone younger like you enjoy these programs, we're gonna need people like you to cherish and respect these offerings as time goes along and us oldsters start to check out.
Have you checked out "The Whistler"? Sort of a mystery, detective anthology series which is quite good.
See you around the clubhouse.

Thanks guys! I will look into the whistler and give it an honest shot. I pretty much listen to these for 40 hours a week at work so I'll have plenty of time to look into them _________________ Me: myspace.com/nighttrainscooter

Two of my new favorites are Rocky Jordan and Nightbeat. Both adult series with good, solid writing and make for great listening.
Got Nightbeat on as I write this. |

Richard Diamond, Private Detective was a decent show, and there are a lot of episodes available. Rogue's Gallery is another good series, though there are not a lot of episodes available (the show kept 'coming and going' over the years). _________________ =============================

Enjoy,

Unfortunately, as I pointed out previously, The Shadow is not in the Public Domain - it is owned by Conde Nast who has a history of vigorously defending their copyright. Conde Nast is also in some financial difficulties which also may make them more prone to defend their copyright. _________________ =============================

If you're a CBS RMT fan, you have to check out Inner Sanctum, which is, in many ways, a precursor to CBS RMT. I also highly recommend Suspense, Escape, and Nightfall.
