I think mine has to be Fred Gwynne. He just seems to have a comforting voice and rarely plays a character I don't like. I was wondering if anyone knew how many episodes Fred did? I have heard him in at least 30. The man had a gifted vocal talent!

My favorite radio actor is Norman Rose because of his rich voice. Two of the most famous roles that I considered his best was in year one was Matthew Maule in "The House of the Seven Gables" and Rasputin in "Courtyard of House".

My favorite is Mandel Kramer who had quite a long career in radio from at least the 1940's on, including starring in Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar. I also liked Fred Gwynn who you may remember from the tv shows Car 54 Where Are You? and The Munsters. He played Herman Munster!

I'm realy late on this one but it's such a good topic that I really wanted to get in on it. I think Howard Da Silva and Jack Grimes were some of my favorite voice actors in the series. Da Silva did the BEST old, wise figure and Grimes did the BEST young, trouble maker.
I agree about Fred Gwyne being great though, he played the best sheriff, a role he did for many of the shows he was on. _________________ Me: myspace.com/nighttrainscooter

I think my favorite has to be E.G. Marshall himself. He did act in a few of them, but the way he said, "Come in.." at the start and "pleasant...dreams" at the end I think made the show. It did last for only a single year after he left the show.

Fred Gwyne is also my favorite. I don't know how many of the episodes he was on.
