Welcom to the club Mike. I'm sorry about that. I hate when that happens too. I searched my entire database, ebay and Google. I don't have any more parts to that series and it looks like I can't get any.

This came in a big disk collection and must not have been checked. I removed the folder so no one else tries to listen to it and gets left hanging. Thanks for reporting it.

Brad

It's also possible that the third part doesn't exist (or isn't known to exist). I know of at least one multi-part story (I think of Superman) that is missing a part, and some series like Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe are missing episodes though they are said to be as complete as possible (OTRRG did some work on versions of their collections I believe) so it might be that the missing part is just not available rather than having been missed by accident. Hard to say sometimes with OTR programs I think. Sometimes I think it's a minor miracle that we have any of the OTR series programs at all.

Charles,

I was just reading a great article today about how the only reason we have the shows is because they were transcribed to a disk that could only be used once. Transcription disks were either aluminum or a glass like material. Some people just saved them. Many were thrown away and are lost for all time. That's too bad. I'll bet there were some really good shows just thrown out with the trash. Sad

At least we are very lucky that so many were saved.

Here is a link to the article I was referring to:

Thanks for the link Brad. I've heard of the disks. Some were also saved because the stations taped them I understand. And in some cases people did try to tape episodes on early tape recorders I imagine too. I remember hearing that some shows were also on a record like disk that would be shipped out to stations (I think it was different from the transcription disks) and often studios would just break the recording and toss it in the trash afterward. Can't recall where I read/heard that right off hand.
